yes and no.
i’m confident that i am, overall, a good person. i know that i’m loyal, caring, and a great friend. i also know that i’m intelligent and creative. these are qualities that i would never hesitate to use to describe myself.
on the other hand, my confidence has dipped in a lot of other ways lately. sometimes i think i’ll never be able to get along with people in general, and there must be something wrong with me because of this. i also think/thought i am/was a good girlfriend, but the way guys have treated me has made me not so sure anymore. and of course, because i write, i’ll always struggle with the harrowing, recurrent conclusion that i have zero talent as a writer. and, like most people, there are days where i hate my looks, but there are other days where i’m surprisingly content with the way i look. that one flip-flops a lot.
so yeah, i guess i’m essentially trying to say yes and no.
